This was posted on the Australian Audax email list.  I thought it was interesting (although the idea of an unsupported 1000 without language skills adds an extra level of challenge). 


Dear down under Randonneur friends,

 

If some Aussies intend to get some serious miles into their legs next spring and combine this with delicious seafood and an enchanting country, consider the Korea Brevet series and the 1000k "Shoreline Express" on April 23.  There is not too much climbing on the 1000k so it should be doable this late in your season.  Well, having said this, wind might spoil the day (or night).  All Korean rides are ACP certified.
