Is that in the free version? if not it's just a very expensive way of renting maps.
It's for Basic or Pemium subscribers .... Basic is USD$5 a month ... that also has a printing facility for routes and some other bells and whistles .... what you can do is switch membership on and off - pay a month, download what you want, cancel and then rejoin again when you want.
We have a Basic membership for all our MacRide events .. I've just loaded a series of routes to Ride with GPS and then saved them as downloads to a Nexus 7 ... works very well ..... worth the investment if it supports development of what's a pretty good service.
