smidsy near-miss apology
« on: 07 May, 2009, 07:19:37 am »
apologies to the chap in the bright red jacket coming down Easter Road about 06:55 today - I was looking and had looked carefully in both directions twice before pulling out to cross the X roads...

Even after its happened to me and even when I do try so hard to see cyclists when driving, I can only say 'smidsy', and I'm happy that its a near miss rather than an accident.

I'd like to think that if that if that bin lorry hadn't been parked where it was, and certainly if you'd been close enough to need evasive action then I'd have seen you, but I couldn't say for certain.

So continue being careful out there - even when they're not out to get you, you should still be paranoid...

Good escape Maggers.

And car drivers? Be prepared to stop at all times.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex
