Red Tape Challenge - Road Safety and Cycling
This was flagged up on the Greewnwhich cyclists list.
These lunatics in Government are seriously suggesting that speed limits and seat belts are "red tape" and ask if they should be "scrapped altogether".
Jesus H Christ.
(apologies if I offend anyone with a religious bent. Or a religious upright).

What do you expect to happen when you get the AA, RAC and other motons round the table without input from other road users?

Removing the seat belt requirement might help thin out the stupid from the population with little or no effect on others.
Unfortunately scrapping speed limits will directly affect others.
