Title: shimano or other 11-36 cassette

I am converting a 29er to electric and as a result lose the front mech and triple sprockets. The bike will have a standard mid sized drive sprocket which is fine while the battery runs or on average terrain but I have need of very low gear for some extreme steep hills in mind.
Current rear cassette is a shimano 11-36 8 speed. I want to convert to an 11-36. But I can't find such a cassette - they all seem to top out at 11-32. Anyine know if the 11-36 actually exists or not - and where such a thing can be bought?

11-36 is surely a standard thing in 10 speed (I've got one on my MTB), but it sounds like Tigerrr is after an 11-36 8-speed to replace something that was typoed in the OP (I'd guess 11-32 or similar).

Going to 10-speed wouldn't be a terrible idea, but does mean a new shifter and chain.

11-34 8 speed cassettes are available (Google shimano megarange), but I would imagine that's the maximum given the branding!

It might be possible to use a 'range extender' sprocket to get yourself an 11-40 set up, but they're not really designed for 8 speed and so might not work. Plus they're hideously expensive.

Thanks for the replies. It does seem that 8 speed 11-36 is not available off shelf. Damn and blast. It would have given enough range to almost compensate for the loss of the triple.

In fact the 34 is more than enough - the motor has torque enough to power fast uphill on any gear from halfway up the cassette!
