40 points for the 2023 year taking me to 740 - all but a handful accumulated in 21 years.

Long way to go but in audax terms I'm a yoof (59).  :D

We are of an age, but I've only accumulated 437 despite 17 SR series.  Must be something to do with work and children and stuff...

the trick is to have your children young enough that they are not relevant during  prime Audax years. have child at 22, adult by 40. 20 years of cycling audax with no childcare

I'm at 362 points after 8 years of audax, last 4 years has averaged 50 points per year. still 13 more years at that rate.

Id never really thought about it, but I suppose having three children rapid fire (May 94, Jan 96 & Sep 98) got all that hands on parenting stuff out the way quite quickly.

My first 50+ points season was 2007 so no coincidence.

Consistency in keeping the scoreboard ticking over has also been helpful.  Aside from the covid blip and 2016 (a work shitfest that just about tipped me over the edge on all fronts) Ive been around 40pts each season since 2007.
