Title: 20Five Rims question
Post by: valkyrie on 17 June, 2017, 11:13:03 am
I've just bought a pair of Hope CX wheels with 20Five rims. The rims have a deep central well that's 10mm wide and they were supplied with 10mm rim tape. The problem is that the spoke drillings are offset, so at each spoke there is a bit of the rim above the central well with a machined edge. It's impossible to cover this with the supplied rim tape and I can't see how wider tape wouldn't fit.

Anyone else got these wheels? Any issues with punctures from the spoke holes or am I over-worrying this?

If the rim tape doesn't cover the holes you will get punctures quickly and often. DAMHIKT
You need a wider tape or some of those plugs you can put in the holes.
I would take it up with the supplier.
