Oh, dear.  She was such a character!  Completely obsessed with her sport.

RIP and thank you.

Goodness, if you'd asked me I'd have said she was about 55
It is simpler than it looks.

She was one of the P.E. teachers at my school back in the 60's.

One of the few 'decent' ones there.
I don't want to grow old gracefully. I want to grow old disgracefully.

Like Jaded, I thought she was considerably younger than 77.

... when my wife read the piece on the news and told me she was dead my stab at age was 76 - it's all relative to one's own age  :hand:

My enduring memory was when she was interviewed and asked about "protection" .... apparently there is a female equivalent of the "cricket box" that she christened the "manhole cover"     Priceless.

She was also asked, "What do you call Third Man?

Gotta be the POTD.

Funnily enough her name became a household word in our family.  My son once asked us why, every time that I said "heigh-ho" in the course of the day, my wife would reply "Flint".
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

She is remembered in my mind as Rachel Heyhoe - before she "struck" a relationship with Mr Flint !      IGMC
