100,003 miles
« on: 11 April, 2017, 07:22:48 pm »
Totted up my mileages after a gentle ride with my wife on Saturday to Windsor Great Park, and found I have now done 100,003 miles since I (early) retired. Getting slower each year. If ever you were having a really bad day in the Thames Valley or the Chilterns, but cheered yourself up by passing just one cyclist - that was me.

Daunting to think some amazing people in this group can knock off that distance in less than 15 months.  It has taken me nearly 20 years, but I'm still enjoying (nearly) every minute of it.  Especially the estimated 2500 slices of cake I have eaten for essential sporting nourishment!

Very impressive. Did you celebrate with cake?

Estimated? You mean having been keeping a detailed record of cake eaten?  :o  :D
