Easy touring in italy

Right, the wife wants a holiday in Italy and is prepared for it to be a cycling one. She is looking at one of the organised ones but reckon with the knowledge on here do it ourselves. Probably looking at 20 to 30 miles a day and hotels rather then camping.

Any recommendations. Would probably want to hire bikes as transporting ours would be a gaff we could do without

Thanks

Try typing 'cycling routes Rimini' in Google and you will have great ideas and options.

Nice coast, flat options and very used to cyclists so plenty of hire options.

It probably doesn't get any easier than the trip we did in 06.

arrived at Verona when to station, caught train to Merano, then tourist train to Malles Venosta.

Then we turned back and rode 250 miles ish to Venice.

One climb only as the route is down hill or pan flat.

we camped but loads of places to stay en route

All the Italians we met were brilliant

Have a look at doing a loop around Bari in Puglia, we rode the coast road northwards to Trani, then into the national park at Andria toward Altamura,Matera then Ostuni and return to Bari. Good value B&Bs or hotels and good food at reasonable prices, nice people too. Shame about all the rubbish dumped on the roadside and beaches!

I did an organised tour around Or into and lake Bolsena, easy to reach from Rome.
