OD led us down there on the rubbish roads ride. I wouldn't want to take anything with narrow tyres down there but was on my slicked mountain bike and fine.

It's fine. You fairies. You don't have to mess with gates.

The White Hart, Stebbing. It was meant to be Tomsk's local pub but he's away. What about The Compasses, LG?

if we're going to LG we'll need to go via Gt Leighs to scoop up my Brother in Law if he fancies joining us.

I'm not sure I'll be out this week. But if I was, Spiritual Home would be a good bet.

Shall someone update the calendar incase others not monitoring this thread ?

The Spiritual Home seems a tad unadventurous for our midsummer solstice ride but it's plenty far enough for me if I ride from home.

I'll be sorting through my 13 years of crap before our house move....my cycling is suffering this month although to be fair the rest is probably not the worst thing.

Ok, if we need to collect my BiL from Gt Leighs and deliver him back later here is a route proposal.

Seems 13 years of accumulated crap fits into a roll of bin bags quite quickly  ;D I'm coming along tomorrow. I shall make an effort to meet you at Spa Road round about.

EDIT: And then I found a flat tyre on the Fixed this morning when I was about to take it out to work so I am now off again for tonight

I am not slacking a little, I am slacking a lot but I am hoping to make it 2 weeks in a row this evening.  Should be 80k plus which will be nice on midsummer's eve in 20 degrees

It's looking good for me to venture east this evening. I've even got a route that is 90% off-road which I will use for the outbound journey.

That sounds like fun....when you say off road...do you mean like mountain bike off road, gravel bike off road or no idea and find out off road?

Predominately the route is along the Flitch Way, so gravel bike is good. I've then hooked up another couple of paths to get from the Flitch Way down to LG, plus a few connecting lanes. It's only 2km further than my normal road route.
