Nice Osram 2AA German approved front light for Brompon?

2AA suits NiMH rechargables (no reverse charge worries).

German approved so  should count as approved in the UK due to the EU equivalence clause IMO.

What's the beam shape like?  The reflector looks like a B&M IQ, so if it's asymmetrical it will need to be mounted the right way up (which might be undesirable with M-bars).

It will be a proper "dipped"/cut-off asymmetrical Stzvo beam so above bar only*

The Minoura Besso is like a posher Brompton mount, but is hard to come by these days.

I got one half price:
mounted on RHS of Brompton S style bar it clashes with wheel when  folded: Bahh., It would probably be OK mounted to the left of the stem but the law says centrally or to  the offside, so I suppose it depends on how liberally/illiberally you interpret centrally....

It fell off forwards and broke on road because I failed to push it back enough to latch on bracket one day

Commiserations, the same thing happened with my first B+M Ixon (user failed to click the latch properly).

Thanks: its been replaced by a lidl Stzvo lamp (to which I have added secondary retention of ia velcro strap )

If lamps slid on forwards this sort of thing wouldn't happen (as much?) though.....
