Me helping, daughter's hair.... one of those aaargh moments.   :o >:( :-\ :'( ::-) ...

All I did was roll the brush up, and...it locked.  Tried to untangle for about 10 mins then it was down to the tool box.

Good work there Sir. That's manly hairdressing right there.

Will she be letting you do that again you think?

Girlf's comments:

"Is that a guy having done that?"

Yes.

"Ah. You really don't do it that way."

No, it seems.

"Fair play with the wrench though! Good recovery."

(Girlf has curly hair and long experience with hairbrushes)

I'll bet you're popular!

My dad once stuck (by accident!) a big lump of chewing gum in my little sister's (long) hair, and it needed to be cut out. I think she has just about forgiven him, ten-odd years later. :)

And the hair brush shouldn't be too hard to mend either

mini ao (10) is still speaking to me  ;) I think the worst bit for her was me initially trying to untangle the brush, oh... and little sister sitting on the bed making helpful comments.  Because the brush was so tightly bound up – cutting it out would have left an ‘impressive’ bald patch, so it was one of those situations, having tried the detangling spray in futile desperation, when you know there is no other option but to go with heavy duty detangling equipment...

I said to Mrs ao afterwards, ‘you haven’t thrown the brush away have you, I could try and superglue it’...her response - “I'll superglue you!”  and “we’re not getting another one of those brushes (which I’d bought with mini ao last year) because they’re the wrong type for her fine hair”.   :hand:

Everyday’s a school day.   :D

Repeat after me

Never ever ever roll a hair brush up through long hair.

I found this out on my own hair - but the result wasn't impressive as your effort.

I think I just steer clear in future ;), the thing is I was supposed to be just brushing it straight while drying it off with a hairdryer, until I thought oo...I'll just roll it up for a bit of fun...

Thanks, I'll relay the info.  Mrs ao has gone to the pub with some friends - no doubt I'll get a special mention tonight.  :-[ ;)
