My local swing bridge, carrying a bridleway between Zebon Copse and Zebon Copse (and vice versa)

This has appeared since I last used the Bournbrook Walkway:

It usefully bypasses an awkward Silly Sustrans Gate™ and a narrow twig-infested path.

2018 again. Roudice nad Labem in the Czech Republic. River Elbe (or Labem as they call it in those parts).

River Elbe (or Labem as they call it in those parts).
Strictly speaking I think they call it the Labe. Labem is the prepositional case used after nad (on).
Yeah, you knew that anyway but hey, we've got to fill the time somehow.  ::-)

That did occur to me as I was typing it but I CBA to look it up, and I remember pondering at the time how close to  anagrams of each other they are (Elbe/Labe).

But in Germany it's the River Arse

That's not a bridge, it's an aeolian harp you can drive on!

Mariánský Bridge
The newest bridge from the year 1998 immediately became one of the Ústí nad Labem symbols and in 2001 the bridge was ranked one of the ten most beautiful constructions of the 20th century in the world in an international inquiry of the well-known Structural Engineering International magazine..

Giżycko swing bridge in the Masurian lake district in northeast Poland. The bridge crosses a canal linking two lakes. There's a set schedule for opening and closing.

Here's a short video clip of the bridge operator operating the bridge. The gearing is very much of the granny variety.

Quote from: Lonely Planet
Giżycko’s working rotary bridge was built in 1889 and is the only one of its kind in the country. Despite weighing more than 100 tonnes, it can be turned by one person, and is opened up to seven times daily to allow boats through, closing to traffic for between 20 minutes and 1½ hours each time.

Somewhere near Čelákovice over an oxbow lake which used to be the Elbe/Labe.

Edit: is it still an oxbow lake if it's been created (i.e. left behind)  by artificial channelling of the river rather than natural meanderings?
