BBC iPlayer downloads

They seem to have disappeared, not the programmes specifically, but the option to view or manage downloads seems to have disappeared entirely.

Anyone else seen an solved this?

Just checked and it doesn’t seem to have changed.

Have you tried get_iplayer? It's a command line tool that lets you download iPlayer content. I think it's the content they make available for mobiles so the quality is not great (TV) but fine for radio.

get_iPlayer has the option to download at standard or "Best" quality (and also a webby interface which avoids all that faffage with command lines).  I'm not sure whether "Best" is full HD but it's good enough for my rheumy eyes.

get_iplayer with "best" quality will get you 720p resolution at best (1280 x 720 which is officially "HD")
Sometimes the files available will only be 480p (852×480 ) which is DVD quality.
Full HD (1080p) is not available...
