Best way to afix a head tube badge?

I have a new carbon frame, painted not raw, and I want to stick a Northamptonshire Regiment cap badge to the head tube. I have removed the "stalk" and bent it to the correct curvature but not sure how best to stick it on.

Araldite would work but may damage the frame should I ever need to remove it.
A sticky pad would be easier to remove but would it be strong enough to stay on?

Any other options?

Good quality double-sided tape works.

Halfords, or any other car supplies company, will be able to furnish you with some DS tape which is commonly used to mount licence plates when bolt holes are not wanted or possible.

Survives most things you can throw at it, and comes off easy when needed.

it's also known as 'badge tape', the best stuff used to be 3M. The only thing that limits its adhesive strength is the surface quality.

OK, I'll try that, I probably need to fill the reverse side indentations with araldite first though. Cheers.

If you get badge tape - car accessory shop or motor factor - it's a soft sponge about 1mm thick. No araldite necessary.

I've used the thin sticky pads from Halfords for Dawes and Raleigh headbadges (separate bikes!) - and used a cable tie (with a bit of wood the other side of the tube) to get the curvature and make sure it sticks, and then remove the tie.  Dawes badge has been on the bike 10 years, rain or shine.
