I'd love to be more gardeny, but I keep missing the boat: "oh, you could have grown some of X if you'd planted them a month ago", etc etc. This year's triumph was a round of cherry tomatoes so late they never made it past green.
What I need is a yearbook: something that says "Early January: dig over beds, plant early-season potatoes, cut back dead stuff on herbs" and so on throughout the year.
Any recommendations?
