Decent, cheap eats near Kings Cross?
« on: 08 June, 2018, 10:38:15 am »
Am there later today & need to fuel up, but want somewhere decent and not burger/pizza.
Any suggestions?

The little place just inside Kings Cross Station that does roast meat in a sandwich is ace. Also does great coffee. Its purely a hole in the wall takeaway though.

Ahh found it online. Its call Kiosk:

I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Oh yes!

Caravan is good, but I wouldn't call it cheap.

You could have nicked my wife's sandwiches.

Granary Square is so gentrified that the Waitrose has a wine bar (they do beer too, though it's Camden stuff, or was the last time I was in there).

Blimey!
Just realised that Granary Square is where Bagleys Studios used to be.
The scene of many full on clubbing nights in the early 90s.
Happy days. (and nights)

I took advantage of the Kiosk in KX & took it back to me room at the (tired) Royal Scot Travelodge. Very nice too. Thanks for all the other tips.

its only about 2 years since they refurbed the royal scot, stayed there about 8 years ago & then again in april & said never again, 1 out of 3 lifts working, rude staff & the generally scruffy travelodge standard of about 10 years ago.
