If you are coming up via Little Braxted shall I meet you outside the Colchester FC training ground shortly before you come in to Tiptree on Grange Road? If not any suggested spots?

I was going to hoon down Pennsylvania Lane as everyone really loves it so much.
I will not be hooning down Pennsylvania Lane (on the 86" fixed), checking out the revamped brake tonight.

In this case it's more  "of you go" as far as I'm concerned, happy to watch you pedal off down that bit on NCNs infrastructure.

It's actually quite clear. There's a lot of pot holes been filled in recently.

I'll still be on the velodrome bike and tyres (with front brake added), trying to decide whether to keep the factory bars (low drop straight) or change to sprint (really curvy high drop) bars.

You could always swap to the mountain bike

The only mountain bike I have ever owned is scatterred across a few streets - largely because the frame had died from metal fatigue and I hated riding on suspension. The bits off it have mostly been re homed.

The Cats this Wednesday?

That's not very westerly. Huggy was suggesting we might be slightly more west this week as we have a special guest turning up ... I can't remember who it was, but I'm sure Huggy will be along soon. I can make it this week also.

It's Jazz Night at the Leather Bottle, or would you prefer somewhere quieter?

Yes, is there another? Another alternative could be the The Vine Inn at Black Notley.

The Vine at Black Notley is an excellent idea.  Not been there for ages.

Isn't The Vine the one we ran out of beer in? Landlord seemed less interested in serving us too, reminiscent of The Crown at Messing?

I could give them a ring if we’re interested in making a visit.
