At A&E today
« on: 15 March, 2010, 01:26:28 pm »
My injury from my crash hurt, first thing this morning after total rest yesterday I felt OK but after scooping the cat litter it was hurting like hell. So I toddle to A&E. I could hardly walk at times. I was x-rayed and they pointed out what maybe a new hairline fracture in my pelvis, at the bottom on the loop part. Or it maybe left over form before  and just aggravated, also it was suggested that my hamstring is damaged or more accurately where it joins my pelvis. The good news is that my metal work is still where it should be, and time & rest will heal me. It'll take 3 -4 weeks though.

I got as far as 'hairline fracture' and then said 'oh bugger' out loud, in a manner that quite startled my younger son.  Look after yourself, hope it heals well and soon.

Sorry that it's not good. Yep, this isn't timely.

Yes. I'll not be doing the DIY300 this weekend and it's unlikely then that I'll be fit enough for the Easter Arrow

Bad luck Martin. I imagine our planned ece 200 on the 28th is a 'no go' for you.

I'm not ruling it out just yet but probably. It's a flat route and I fancy a Merckx day which makes all rides easier.

No worries. if I see you on the day it will be a bonus, but dont chance it if there is any possibility of you aggravating the injury.

Oh, no, what a complete PITA.

Get well very soon.
At least 4 weeks' healing time will leave the summer free for riding?
