Not that barmy.

The extra height would mean even my granny could track-stand it.

If I were to build a tall bike, it'd be fixed.
Don't ask.

Barmy barmy barmy.  But I'd be happy to fall off it.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

A lot of tallbikes are hack jobs made from several skip bikes.

That one's slicker though, those look like virgin tubes...

I think it's rather pretty. :D

Even if it is the same colour as my mother's wedding dress. :-\

Search for steel stock holders. Ebay may be worth looking at if there are none locally as steel tube is usually expensive to deliver or they will want you to buy long lengths.

Electically Resistance Welded tube (ERW) or Cold Drawn (CDS) tube is what you want. it will be about  16 or 18 SWG - (1.5 mm ish)

A drill press and hole saws are usefull for mitreing the tube, or use a template generating program and cut & file by hand.

Fabrication could be by brazing or welding - TIG or MIG if you don't mind messy joins. Some builders even stick weld  :-\

Before you start remember to check the first aid box is FULLY STOCKED  :demon:
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...
