Some Shimano R160 shoes.  A carbon road shoe for under £70  :)

Dave

Not in my size. Arse  :(

I'm not surprised.  That would presumably be quite a large shoe.

I went to the LBS (by car) to get a spoke replaced and the wheel trued .... Paul found a crack in the rim .... I came out with a new pair of wheels (OK, not so bad - the old front will be used on a project)

Started to fit tyres to them and realised that the rims were so deep that I needed tubes with longer valve stems .... back to the other LBS (on foot) and bought 4 tubes (2 on, 2 spares in the saddle-pouch)

... and all I wanted was a spoke  :'(

BTDTGTTS
I once went to my lbs for 2x20" inner tubes & came out with a complete carbon frame Trek.
Got no inner tubes though ::-)

One of these - an attempt to move my Brooks a little further back on the rando-bike.

Ah yes but it's health and safety budget innit?  No authority required and pretty much unlimited!  O:-)

I just received a couple of tops from Cotswold Camping, a Sprayway Polartec 100 fleece, and Montane Dragonfly Baselayer shirt which were on sale at roughly half price.  They'll get used as cycling tops, and in fact may see use on the FNRttC tomorrow.

I also bought four sets of brake blocks from an LBS, to replace the one pair which has already worn out, and one which I expect to wear out soon (although I last replaced both at the start of January!)
Actually, it is rocket science.

I was going to suggest this as POTD but on further consideration believe it to be an all-time classic deserving of being geneticaly imprinted into all cyclists at the moment of being conceived.( & their wives, girlfriends, partners, parents, mistresse, brothers, sisters etc. etc.)

I'm having a bit of a spendy bonanza at the moment. In fact, thinking about it, it's more of a never ending process, but anyway... just received Shimano SIS gear cable and brake set for my commuting tourer, and also a new pair of overshoes (Endura, neoprene) as a zip gave up two years into the previous pair. This is fairly standard annual maintenance spend, but I've also now embarked on Project Time Trial Bike 2010!

Purchased so far: Thomson X2 Elite 70mm stem, Pro Synop Hydroform time trial bar and Cane Creak 200TT bar end brake levers.

In the pipeline: Campag 10 speed bar end shifters and Alpina Wing TT aero carbon seatpillar / forks. The killer blow is going to be the wheels - Zipp 1080 tublar rear and 404 tubular front, ouch! :o 8) In a bid to reign in the spending for now I'll be using the chainset and mechs from the current road bike.

The Garden Centre, yep THE GARDEN CENTRE, was knocking out TOG24 base-layers for £9 - bought an XXL for me and couldn't resist a 2-3 year-old one for my grandson ... we're waiting for him to get to a 17" inside leg so he can ride his Pashley Pickle trike - at least he'll be warm and wicking that sweat away   :)

A Krylion Carbon arrived in the post this morning.

Returning from the veg store, my freehub became extra free in both directions :(

I know what I'll be doing tomorrow, now.

A new pair of 2010 Bontrager Race X Lites

I only needed a rear wheel but you know how it is.

Actually, I only really needed a freehub but you know how it is.

Two people have already said I could have bought a Car for that money  :P

One of these
Altura Urban Dryline 17 Inch Briefcase Pannier Only £61.65

It's long been a want, never quite made it to the 'need' category.  But with the extra discount at Wiggle and the fact that that bags like these tend to be discontinued whenever I get serious about buying one I couldn't resist.

;D  Andrij.  I pronounce you Complete and Utter GIT

I bought three saddles in Wilkos for £6.99 each. Thus I don't keep having to swap saddles on and off the tandem when I try to get something else running.

I tried to buy some new lights from JE James yesterday.
Frustratingly their website won't allow me to update my credit card details or my address - I would have to register for a new account to get them to deliver to my current address.  But I can't do that with the same email address. Grrrrrrrrr.  >:(

I emailed asking for them to call me so I can change their data and buy stuff.  They haven't so far.  ::-)
