I like Specialized shoes and they tend to be my default choice, but I hate the Boa system on the last pair I bought and I use two bolt cleats.

Personally have got on very well indeed for 8 years with Spesh BG MTB carbon soled shoes, uses SPD system so can walk in them too ;D Very comfortable and very long lasting, still use a pair 8 years old; well worth extra price too IMHO with carbon soles.

Looks as if spesh are creating a product that isn`t needed as already available ???

My Specialized Tahoe from 8 years and many thousands of miles of use are looking a bit sorry for themselves.  But I doubt I'll be buying these replacements.

The pleasing thing is that a large company is acknowledging our niche, even if it is at odds with my own audax values.
