Years ago, when I worked in the Clifton St./Christopher St. area, I used to quite wander out for random walks at lunchtime.
On one of these walks, I noticed a building with a name on the facade: "Anthony Oakden" (Or possibly "Tony Oakden"). I think it was in an Art Deco type script, in carved/moulded relief on red brick, although that may be misremembered.
I _think_ it was probably somewhere within the red area on this map (or possibly on the paler pink one, depending how far I walked that day), although it may be off to one side, I guess.
http://goo.gl/maps/mwA8uHas anyone seen the building in question on their commute, or other wanderings round London? I'd like to find it again so I can send a picture of it to one of my uncles who has the same name.
I've done a bit of random wandering around the area, to no avail yet, and have done a bit of virtual tourism via Google streetview, but as yet haven't spotted it.
