Safe parking in/near Harwich?

A friend and I are individually driving to Harwich and taking one car on the ferry to the Netherlands. Where is a halfway-safe place to leave the other car for a couple of days?

We just used the car park at the terminal.  I can't remember how much it cost, it says on the website.
