Climbing on your commute

It's been a long time since I've had a regular ride that has been anything other than quite flat. The trouble with a not-flat commute is deciding how hilly it is.

According to my Garmin Vista I'm climbing 390 meters in the 17 miles riding home - most of it in the last five miles. (It's much less riding to work). At the moment as I regain fitness, it's bloody hard work!

What are your commutes/regular rides like in terms of climbing?
