Piloting not Stoking for a change!
« on: 29 December, 2008, 05:39:02 pm »
I took Superstoker out on the Dawes Two Across today. This is the 3rd time we've been out as a team and we're getting better each time. He is an absolute star for hill starts, so they are never as bad as I think they are going to be .

We missed the hot food at the cafe in town and had to settle for some pretty good sandwiches and then set off along the Wandle trail to check out Tim O's front doorstep and rescue the abandoned Yacf Jersey thereon.

By the time we got back, Superstoker was an icicle, which was a shame, but after a warm soak in the bath he's thawed now. :)

It was rather fun. :D

Thanks :D. What I didn't say before is that Superstoker is as tall as me now, which could be very awkward if he weren't such a good stoker  8). With Clarion working this week and not riding an upright at the moment, we could be grounded if we couldn't ride the tandem together.

Does this mean I'm now redundant? :'(

You can sit in the trailer and they can tow you.
