ipod nano/MP3 player query?
« on: 08 February, 2009, 06:11:16 pm »
min ao is after one for her birthday, but the nanos seem to go for ~£100.  She would not need more than 4Gb, and I'm thinking £60 max, but well under £50 would be good.   :)

What's the difference between the 1st and 2nd generation of ipod nano?

Are there any decent mp3 players in a funky colour?  She refuses anything black....

I've just got a Zen Mosaic, currently on offer from Argos.
The 4GB ones with Radio come with a buyilt in speaker, there's also an 8GB version which Argos are knocking out for about £50 which has no in-built speaker or radio.

Seems to work fine (only had it a few days so far, very small, sounds fine).

Why not an iPod shuffle? The newer iPod Nanos also do video and have the orientation sensing thing aswell as shake to shuffle. They're also colourful and pretty.

Thanks all - apparently it has to be red.   I notice the Sony one is available in the right colour.  ;)

1GB for £31 or 2GB for £44.

I have one and can highly recommend it. Small, light, simple, intuitive, fun and it comes in red, too.

Thanks rr; it 'has' to have a screen...(for the moment)   ;)
