Oh, that's foul.  I hope they're caught and get the book slung at them.

Am sorry to hear this, but the bike is so unique it should be easy to find again and hopefully the scrotes will be caught with it.

Also, they're probably newish machines, easier to replace through insewerance than some of our unique and heavily-modified bikes.

Personally I'd be glad to see the back of that pink one  :-\

Hopefully they will be recovered.

I'm sure the version of the article I read this morning had a quote from his father saying that the bike were uninsured because (from memory) "they were too specialised". Looking again (and I was just about to post something about the M&S insurance) it seems to have been updated to remove any comment regarding insurance.

I wonder if that's "too specialised" as in "too expensive for the policy limit"?

I can't remember the exact text, and I have no cache of the page, but the comment was along the lines of "they weren't insured because we couldn't get them insuranced."

Hopefully they've removed the insurance comment because they've found that they are covered under their home insurance.

Still, replacements are one thing, but you've still got to go through the annoying process of getting them all set up just right.

Unusual, but not unique.  I have a pink Planet X TT bike that looks exactly like that one.  It's unusual, and doesn't go uncommented on at every TT, but resprayed it would look like every other Planet X Stealth.  It's probably unusual enough to be difficult to sell without a buyer asking serious questions.
