GPX Edit
« on: 06 June, 2016, 11:55:49 am »
Rather cleverly, I started my Garmin some 12 hours before I started riding Saturday's 400km Hot Trod. Does anybody know a simple way to edit the first 12 hours or so from a GPX file?

Thanks

Ali

I have done it with Garmin basecamp and notepad.
Both are easy, just save a copy 1st in case you bugger it up.

You can edit in any text editor.  Save a copy  to pc, make sure you don't delete parts of elements (eg every <trkpt> has a corresponding close </trkpt>

Rather than faffing about with text editing and stuff, let someone else do the hard work.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

... or the eponymously named open source GPX Editor will do it https://sourceforge.net/projects/gpxeditor/

All sorted and time has been restored to its rightful place.

Thank you one and all.
