I love Early Grey, and it's nothing to do with ever having watched Patrick Stewart boldly going with number two.  ;D
In fact, Earl Grey chocolate must be my second favourite flavour of chocolate after nutty pralines.

I keep meaning to try making an earl grey cake, but haven't got round to it yet. :P

[edit: I'm also a big fan of the Coen bros films, but have never had a white russian]

I've made Earl Grey Cake. Don't bother. There's a lot nicer cakes in the world. I mean, it's ok, but...

To continue the Earl Grey theme, but with a twist:

Rooibos Earl Grey.

Poncey, but nice.

That sounds interesting.  Where do you get it?

Dark rum and pineapple juice. Got a gig later (gotta lift  ) in a pub with decent local beer (Goachers, Hop Daemon, Whitstable Brewery, etc.) and I'm starting on the looseners. I hope, by the end of the evening, that I'll actually think I'm playing well (assuming I can still stand).
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Waitrose. It's made by Dragonfly teas. I've not seen it anywhere else, but I don't think it's exclusive to Waitrose. My whole family is now addicted to the stuff!

Thanks -- I need to go to our local-ish Waitrose soon.  I shall have a look!

I tried to be as local as possible this year and discovered that Ontario makes fabulous white wines in German, Alsace, Burgundy and even Champagne styles - we had a great champagne from Henry of Pellham, a nice Sauvignon Blanc and a great Icewine, which Ontario does better than anywhere  else in the world - but it can't make red wine at any price. All the reds we had were vinegary and without depth or character. I almost cried when I tried a supposedly good Syrah, a grape which makes up a good portion of my favourite Languedoc wines, it was such a travesty of the varietal.

This was made up for by the fact that Ontario and Quebec are making fabulous microbrewed beers and some ciders too. I was most pleasantly surprised by a Belgian-style peach beer from St Ambroise, and have drunk more than a few of their Oatmeal Stouts too...

Right now though, I am just drinking a nice breakfast tea we blend ourselves from teas from a great little tea shop owned by a Japanese woman we met out here.

Thanks for that FM.  Reminded me to put the sparkling Icewine our Canadian niece brought us for Christmas into the fridge.  We will drink it tomorrow evening.

A Gerwurztraminer, but not from Alsace. It's from a Greek wine maker, and it is impossibly delicious. The bottle is the classic Alsace flute, but a sensible half litre size.

The Gewurz spicyness is there, but it is different. This is an apotheosis of everything you would hope for from this grape. Bloody hell, this makes me want to go back to the wine trade!

Ooh yes

We had a Greek Gerwurztraminer in, of all places, Northern Sweden a few months ago and it was impressive.

I'm drinking grapefruit juice & water tonight though :(
