I'm sure there was a Danielle Steel  bonkbuster  blockbuster just waiting to jump into your saddlebag.

Still fairly new to Audax and this was my first go at a 400 so not sure what to expect.

The organisation of the event in general and support at the controls in particular was outstanding. 'Fill your water bottles?', 'Carry your bike inside?', 'You sit down. I'll bring everything to your table', 'Would you like a double helping?' Thanks to all.

Thanks also to FifeingEejit and various others for helping me out with navigation when both my Garmins borked. From Skelton I managed to get a fix on a lone star glimmering through the gloom and thought it was in the right place to guide me to Darlo through the rain and fog. Didn't stick to the published route (at least I don't think I did) but I did get to Darlo in the wee small hours.

A bit of an adventure but not sure I'd like to repeat it.
Hear all, see all, say nowt

Thanks to Deano and helpers. I don't think I've ever eaten so much in a ride before. Top TLC, and a beer to finish

I believe that was the latest installment of the Lemon Drizzle series.
Although that sounds more Jasper Fforde to me.

I'll get some pictures sorted once I've topped up my train snoozes.

Pictures of most of you at Welton are up on the AUK facebook page.

Sounds like you all had a good day out, I was quite envious as you left Welton to ride into that superb evening light but then i did stay dry on the way home. Well done folks.

I enjoyed my drive back South today reliving the ride from the A1(M) spotting all the places we rode alongside or crossed over.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed an audax so much - thanks Dean & helpers.
