Police stopping cyclists.
« on: 10 February, 2010, 12:23:59 pm »
London Street, Norwich yesterday evening. Loads of cyclists ride along this pedestrian road, the cops had a little tent and a table and would wave the cyclists to stop,  fascist pigs, haven't they anything better to do, go and catch some real criminals?

Except they weren't handing out FPNs, they were handing out free cycle maps and groovy little key fob reflectors that I've fixed to my bag, after a talking-to.

God bless 'em, they do a hard job with no thanks.

Besides, if anyone on a bike fails to notice two uniformed officers and a dirty great tent they deserve an FPN.

ha ha!

I told the copper I was registered with Immobilise, he said you can now get hidden chips in the downstem that identify the owner, the thief would never know it was there!

I said another good idea would be buttock scanners installed in bike saddles. If a rogue bum sat on the bike retrorse spines would shoot up and impale the thief, you could then easily find your bike by following the screams.

The copper backed away and wished me a good day.
