On Lake Müritz in Mecklenburg.
I took my then young teenage daughter on a cycle tour round there a few summers ago, think we did 100 miles split over three days, camping. She just read and read whenever not on the bike, all the rest stops had to be extended to at least 30 mins! Not very inspiring countryside though - very flat - though we found a scenic corner of a lake with the wind ruffling the waters at one point.
