Autumn sunshine

We had wild storms overnight but by mid-morning the weather here was just glorious.

So I made myself get organised and out the door: and spent the next few hours grinning like a maniac. What a fantastic day!

I rode out cycle route one to the Forth road bridge, then home by a slightly different route, via a farm shop for lunch and along the waterfront at Cramond. Heaven!

At Cramond Brig, on the way out:

The road's closed, but a bike can sneak through:

Dalmeny church hall. It's not the same when it's not full of scones and lycra:

Whereabouts is that closed road A?

And Damn you and your Mondays off!

And a few more:

(Oh, and the closed road is between the... oh man - where you turn off the cycle route to go along to Dalmeny. If you came out of the church hall and headed left towards town?)

The Forth Road Bridge

Lunch stop - I had a slice of mushroom, brie and cherry tomato tart. There were no seats inside so i had a choice - sit at a table outside and pay £5.95 for the quiche with some salad, or pay £2.50 for 'take away' quiche' and eat in the the car park. Yep, it tasted just fine standing up.

A Shetland pony on the way home:

Penny at Cramond:

and finally, nearly home, with the sun already going down at 2.30pm

Here we go - Main Street West is closed between the church (on the corner with Bankhead Road) and the B924. It's due to open on December 19.

 :P

He's got that weary, end-of-the-day look about him.

Good pics.  And a trusty Zefal HPX I see... :)

Thanks - and yes! It's a tight squeeze getting it in there but it's great.

Getting there...

Lovely pictures. I especially like the last one.  Sunsets always make me smile.

Glad you had a good day :)
