I can't bring myself to post the letter removals for these so here are a few links to the unmolested titles instead.

(I shamelessly admit that I just searched amazon for a key-word, but it was worth it just for the third one - I'd never have guessed a title like that existed)

First (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swank-Police-Personnel-System/dp/0471061069/ref=sr_1_40?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273587077&sr=1-40)
Second (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bags-swank-David-Walder/dp/B0000CLNRA/ref=sr_1_37?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273587077&sr=1-37)
Third (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swank-Bisexual-Wine-Bar-Modernity/dp/0955282918/ref=sr_1_36?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273587192&sr=1-36)

The actually published example is Roberto Calasso, who wrote two novels in succession, called respectively "Ka" and "K".

I have no idea which is more interesting." Ka" is a rendering of Hindu myth into the conventions of a postmodern European novel. It took me several attempts to get through. "K" is something to do with Kafka but frankly Kafka is weird enough done straight, and I have never looked at it.

I suspect that "K" is itself a good subject for the treatment of this thread, and instead I'll try reading "".

(talking to myself here)
