Is it responding to paracetamol, and how are you feeling otherwise? My OH had a stubbornly high temperature that wouldn't shift a while back and ended up in hospital for a fortnight - sepsis.

Looks like everything's vanishing into a black hole at Doncaster from this side, though the knock-on effect is still relatively minor here in CrossCountryland. Kings Cross is probably having a riot by now.

The prospect of a Friday Night Ride Back To Birmingham from somewhere random doesn't appeal^[1], so I'm not getting on a train unless it has a reasonable chance of going the distance.

In the end my train was cancelled in the time it took to ride to the station, and the only alternative option seemed to be to jump on a train to Manchester and hope for connections that were currently b0rked. Bah!
