Is there a good way to make waypoints noticable (preferably, really noticeable!) when following a track on a Garmin mapping GPS?
My ideal solution would be a full-screen alert when entering a 500m (would be good for my requirements -- but ideally customizable, of course) circle around any waypoint. As far as I can tell, this isn't an option in the current Oregon firmware -- but I'd be very happy if someone told me I was wrong!
Failing that, has anyone tried replacing the icons with something substantially bigger than the current tiny little flags?
