Author Topic: Easter weekend: lakes or snowdonia? wild camp or {spendy} campsites?  (Read 2482 times)

I've got nowt planned for easter weekend, so assuming the weather forecast is similar for both, which direction should I invest my 4/5 hours drive in?

and should I spend some cash on a car-camping-multplex tent and go for a proper site or hike & wildcamp?  There might be 2 of us, if she can get away too.

hmm... decisions, decisions.  Or there's always 'cycle camping in Norfolk'....

I'm biased. If it helps is what wild camping in The Lakes at Easter in 2014 was like:

What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!
