Well, its nearly the end of August so tradition dictates its time to start thinking about Epiphany 2018.  tippers has done an amazing job for the last two years so in a drunken rush of blood to me sherry addled brain I seem to recall saying I'd organise 2018 - this is despite us voting that he had the job for life!

EDIT: We have now set a date (see thread title)!

Tipper's back up plan was to delegate to you though!  ::-)

I dare say I'll show my face at some point just so you can all say "WTF is that!?" again.  ;D

You've caught me...my plan was to Cycle to a pub, have some beer and food then cycle to another pub for some more beer and food and then either camp or ride home.

I do believe we said we would make it more friendly for those in the Western reaches of the county this year though after I managed to keep it very East the last 2 years.

First things first, we need to set a date; I'm looking at Saturday 6th January '18.  Any thoughts?

That would make sense,  it being the actual date of Epiphany in 2018!  (The fact that Epiphany is falling on a Saturday should be taken as A Sign).

Wasn't epiphany meant to involve some wise men?

So I'm a gnat's cock away from making an executive decision by pronouncing we go for the 6th and 7th. Those who disagree should speak up now.

I'm a gnat's cock

Thirded

The Kelvedon Oyster is running on the 13th if that is any help in settling on the 6th.

In the spirit of tradition I'll join the thread to keep an eye and option open. One out of eleventy-twelve isn't a good batting average but there you go.

I will Keep My Eye On It too. I missed last year's as I was still recovering from my beer falling off the table entirely on its own.

The 6th it is then.

If I have my way there'll be more than just singing  :demon: ;D

Wowbagger will be along soon with the view that OD's performance cannot be regarded as singing!

6th is good with me.

We need Wow's booming bartone but I think he's shy.

What does the musical director have in mind for entertainment?
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Welcome to the jungle.

Seeing Wowbagger scream "You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby!" would make my life complete....
