- a lifetime's supply of brake and cable outers (30m reels, I couldn't resist the offer vs buying by the meter)

so you have decided on your housing colour for life, then?

Yep, any colour as long as it's black

A Tubus Logo Evo rack, in black, because I decided my Tortec Epic wasn't up to scratch
Some Shimano 8 speed bar end shifters, because my Campag 10 speeds I've been using on the touring bike are on their last legs
An 8 speed chain - I shouldn't need to explain this one!

two nuts and bolts, two bolts, and a tool to remove the dustcap on an ultegra LH crank, all for the princely sum of £6

Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres + inner tubes(schraeder) for the tourer.  End of last summer my City Jet tyre collapsed and died on a forest trail and the other tyre - Michelin Country Rock - was a temporary fix bought in Bagnères-de-Luchon (the Harrogate of the Pyrenees, some say) where there is an excellent bike shop.

Some schwalbe winter tyres (studded) as I'm using my bike all weathers at the moment and I know that they get great press on here. On offer at chain reaction so I figured £40 for a 1 -2 months use per year is cheaper than hitting the deck and tearing up jacket/tights/bike etc. Of course the weather will change the moment the tyres arrive.

A new frame!

Started tearing down the old BMX, but got the crank arms are seriously stuck on. I'll take it to the LBS, who dismantled it for a tenner when I replaced the the bottom bracket last summer.

Thursday, two 36v 21Ah frame mount batteries & a charger. £££LOTS!

Friday, Bafang 36v 250w mid drive conversion kit and ordered a chainring adapter so it can take a 4x104 narrow/wide ring & guard. Also £££LOTS but not quite as much as the batteries.

Today, collected a big box full or Weinmann (mainly) calipers. Run of the mill 730 side pulls, 999 centre pulls etc. but also a pair of Shimano Exage, some Tourneys and, lurking in the bottom, a pair of 7spd Deore XT thumbies. Anyone need any retro bits?

I knew it that once I started upgrading the BMX, it would be hard to stop, so...I ordered a new fork. Lighter, shorter offset. Should hopefully get here next week. Has same length steerer tube, so should be a 2 minute job swapping it in.

chains - cruzbike needs the full 116 links + the quicklink.  Bought 2 x ultegra to have one spare as they were on a decent offer.

Pondered mudguards for the cruzbike, but waiting for now.

The kids round here are very good at shortening the offset of their BMX forks.

Percussively...

Various boring but necessary stuff: cassette, chain (blingy black one - it'll hopefully show the dirt less ;D), BB86 threaded converter thingy because I hate pressfit.

Two maps arrived in the post

NCN 7 - Lochs and Glens Sarf - for the summer tour
NCN 51 - Oxford to Cambridge, just because. Now I need to work out how to get back from Oxford, other than either going via London, or turning round and riding back.

A pair of Michelin Pro 4 Endurance Competition tyres, 700x25mm flavour, from thon French Purveyor of Sporting Goods at Edinburgh. No, I was good and didn't go to Krispy Kreme after..  Hopefully these will be a plusher ride than the durano plus 25mm tyres on my audax bike.

Polar HRM strap to go with my Ciclosport HRM to go with my eTrex. Rose sent it UPS in a box big enough for a chainset.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Two Schwalbe G-one tyres in 35mm all-round flavour and an airshot, whilst I've never failed to mount a tubeless tyre using the track pump it can be ruddy hard work. That was an expensive bottle/tyre interaction.
