Can’t make it tonight I’m afraid, have to work... I’ll be at the festival at 3pm doing publican-like stuff if anyone is early. Otherwise see you after my 600km this weekend (gulp) - enjoy Hereward those that are doing it!

Have a good ride

Talk last night talk turned to visiting the Lamarsh Lion which has re-opened.  The Lynx's review of it was glowing... What's the panels thoughts on it being a summer evening destination?

very positive

With being restricted to Chelmsford these past few weeks while Figgis was recovering, we have not done our usual summer outings to far flung parts.

Apart from the nights when we weren't in Chelmsford, but you couldn't make it anyway ;)  :-*

Assuming I get out of work in time, and given how close this is to home, I may do a little pootle of the Stour Valley, rather than head south to Witham and re-trace my steps. I know - anti-social...

9pm ish at the pub?

I'll probably head direct via a similar route to Huggy's but aiming for an earlier arrival (I'll be giving them a call to see what food they have on)

Proposed Witham Peloton route to Great Tey.

Mmm, some COR is see.
oh yeah, a RwGPS-ism. We can either check it out or re-route via the Notley Road which I was just trying to stay off of to avoid evening traffic.

Does this thread come with an acronym guide, or will I pick it up by osmosis?

I am not doing any COR.....

Easily avoided.
Like TMNH  ::-)

Good. Two of my least favourite things - TMNH and COR.

Are you taking your other saddle, spurs and jodpurs?  If I am not mistaken, this is the pub with Huggy's "horse"

Just got back after Acme mid week pub meet at Great Tey. Wow 3.5  Essex energy drinks and I felt like G. on the ride home. Forget the paracetamols,  certainly masks the lactic acid in the legs well.

Good turnout last night, awaiting the bairds report with baited breath!

We appeared to be a splinter group as we set off and followed the Huggy route / Nick's route home back to Cog...

I had a visitation last night on the A12 path, after 20 mins of faffing I had to put an inner tube in as I had ran out of sealant which was why it was unable to self seal.... As I was about to fit the tube Jane & Grey Sheep rolled past, Jane had a Lynx scratching at her front door back home she needed to attend to so GS stopped to assist me in faffing with the wheel...

It was lights out when I rolled through Boreham and as it was such a nice night, I spent another hour on the road enjoying a car free wildlife filled zig zag around the South of Chelmsford....

Joergen

We are doing a great job of helping the masses decide whether to go tubeless or to stick with gatorskins and tubes.

Looks like 50:50 with both Huggy and Jibbers each having a puncture.
