Networked Windows 7 and admin rights for lowly user
« on: 11 April, 2011, 07:50:43 am »
We will change to Win7 this year in this large company.  In previous versions it has been possible to install one's own software on the local drive but not on the network. Fair enough and works well.

Now with Win7 there is much more control of admin rights and therefore restriction of what the lowly user can do.

I only want to install another browser and some other personal stuff,  like a password storing program, will  there be a way to do this?

Or you could try something like Portable Apps. PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives
They should run without installation.
