How to watch the Olympics in Germany on my computer
« on: 06 August, 2012, 02:02:26 pm »
On Wednesday I'm heading off to the Fatherland for nine days with dog and trike in tow. As I'll be doing a bit of work as well I shall be taking my iMac 27" (jolly good thing I've got an enormous car for all that lot!)

Anyway, I suppose I won't be able to watch the BBC Olympic coverage on my computer once I'm in Germany - or am I wrong? And does anyone know of a watchable-anywhere feed of the Olympics?

You could use a proxy / VPN service that will give you a UK IP address. Then you would be able to watch the BBC coverage. eg http://www.hidemyass.com/
Though it will probably cost a few quid, and may be a bit slow for watching video.
