Ridden from Gloucester Terrace to Holland Park roundabout using Westway and the West Cross Route. On a Brompton. At night

I don't recommend this, although they're not actually motorways anymore.

Been shot at (thankfully they missed)

Shagged two sisters

Been inside Concorde

Driven at 207mph

Stayed at the Burj Al Arab's Royal Suite

Been told by the Police to turn it up at CM

Met The Queen and Charles

Cycled 176 miles non stop pissed

Beat Frenchie up a hill

Quite a weekend.

I've worked on the restoration and played the biggest Wurlitzer cinema organ in Europe - the mighty Babalan 4 that is in what used to be the State Gaumont cinema on Kilburn High Street.

I toured the bomb-damaged Arndale Centre and Royal Exchange in Manchester. Very sobering. They reckon Royal Exchange building lifted up and came down in a slightly different position. Advice given: "Don't put your hands on the (wooden) handrails, you'll cut them on the embedded glass"

I was next to the Arndale when the bomb went off.

And then the hotel I was staying in was sealed off and I had to spend the night on the floor of Manchester University student's union*.

*Mind you, that had its compensations....

Been driven to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar (a military zone) by a half-cut squaddie, the last 100 metres in reverse, as fast as possible, on a road approx half a foot wider than the jeep. Never been so scared....

Also toured all the tunnels within the Rock and the warfare command station at the its centre.
