Polish carrot crisps

Surprisingly good and not too salty - highly recommended.

Right weird bunch, them Polaks, beetroot soup et al  .
But these sound like they might actually be alright.
Polak processed food has a habit of ending up seriously 'I'm-not-putting-that-in-my-mouth' ish.
Just look at their confectionery!
But these sound like they might actually be ok

Our local Tesco has a large Polish section.  It's full of Mister Sheen and furniture wax.  Those people are crazy about shiny furniture aren't they?

That's the second comment combining reference to Polish people and cleaning I've seeen on the forum in  the last couple of days. Maybe I'm having a sense of humour failure in seeing it as racism of a sort.

I don't recall ever seeing anything like that in Poland - I suspect it's probably a taste introduced from Britain!

Strictly speaking, a heteronym: Polish the people is pronounced Pow-lish and polish as in floor-polish is pronounced pollish.

You are right. I had a feeling I wasn't quite correct even as I posted. But at least it's not a homophone. Nothing wrong with homophones of course. Some of my best friends etc etc. (copyright c1976)

chrupki are to monster munch what delicje are to jaffa cakes - the same but in more varieties!

OT-ish, as today is Fat Thursday, it's the day to get doughnuts - with jam, custard or chocolate filling, or with icing, sugar, chocolate or orange peel topping, etc - from your Polskish sklep.
