Newport & Radway rides 27th January

Riders  -  due to record number of entrants ( perhaps PBP effect ? ) both the Newport 200 & Radway 150 are both full to the rafters & I had to close entry early. I know 1st hand how frustrating this can be , but sadly there's really no chance of entry on line or being added to any sort of cancellation list .

Total of 87 audacious riders have just started Newport /  Radway rides this morning.
 Really good to meet a handful of riders new to Audaxing.   
This is my 1st crack at being " R . O " So it's good for me to hear them talking of their future riding plans on my first one - seemingly all roads lead to Paris !
However, Not so good to see is the raging & bitterly cold northerly wind this morning

Thanks Terry for hosting a great event. The headwind was pretty relentless for the last 100km, gusting up to 40mph at times, slightly cold but dry all day. Everyone I spoke to enjoyed despite the weather.

Great day out, bit blowy on the section through Loggerheads but sometimes it's good to have something to lean against!    Thanks again for all of your hard work on this event Terry, and many thanks to all of the helpers!
