Just a few pictures of the Slough, Wolverhampton Slough ride earlier this year :)

Which canal is that and is there actually tea in the Typhoo Basin? ;D

I liked the Wolvo to Slough ones best ;D

Very nice. There's something about pottering along canals. Pleasant balance of nature and manmade, or something.

You've got something there. 🙂

The effect's particularly strong in the Birmingham area, where some of the canals act as a hidden 19th century layer below the modern city's street level. The route between the Gastric Basin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_Street_Basin) and Spaghetti Junction (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salford_Junction) involves a lot of tedious upping and downing, and the surface can be quite technical in places, but I do recommend it if you've never seen the city from that perspective before.
