Kent made it look pretty easy in the end, winning by 7 wickets.

Weren't Liverpool 4 - 0 up? The journo probably was too pissed to notice Spurs' goals when they occurred.

What the Hell is wrong with the BBC football editor?  Their website headline is "Liverpool THRASH Tottenham".  They persistently say THRASH if any team scores 4 or more.  The actual score was 4 - 2, which is effectively 2 - 0 and by no means a THRASHING.  And I don't support either team.  I'm so lucky to be old enough to have read reports from Hugh McIlvanney, Michael Parkinson, John Arlott and even as far back as Neville Cardus.

Yours sincerely,

Old Bloke

I think thrashing is a fair reflection of the overall performance even if not the final scoreline. They switched off a bit towards the end but the game was already won by then.

Agree on the general point about sports journalists being lazy though.

I'm planning to load the bike on Tuesday & ride down.   Has anyone else booked a pitch yet ?

I note that the intrepid Kim has been camping in the Lakes over the last few days where she has been horribly nibbled by midgies.  Don't forget the repellant.     Another site advises me that ticks are out in force this year as well.  :(     Warmer & wetter.....

If you want to do an SQL injection attack, sounds like their systems are the ones to attack. That’s essentially what the council is advertising.

That also crossed my mind.

I suspect most here will already be thinking of Little Bobby Tables.

Very useful, fruitcake and Feanor, although I have enjoyed the pianistic diversion. Thank you.

Work starts tomorrow. <gulp>

I have electric UFH in the bathroom, under the tiles.
It does produce a nice warm-to-the feet thing.

But it's not a replacement for a radiator / towel rail for space heating. It doesn't generate enough heat for that.
Downstairs, we have wet UFH set into the concrete pad of an extension, and that *does* produce enough heat for space heating.
