Crafty buggers, they've gone up in price

They'll be on sale again in a couple of weeks, every time I look on there the prices are different

I face a similar dilemma - whilst Pugsley has an On-One stem which is due to be replaced anyway, the ElMar has a Thomson  :-\

On the other hand, shifting a bit more weight off the Tour Divide bike is a Good ThingTM and a tubeless Pugsley with carbon bars will be relatively svelte too.

Ah well, not long until pay-day.

PaulF  and interzen, if handlebar fettling happens, does that mean there might be one or two sets of one-careful-owner-from-new 25.4 black Marys up for sale?
As that's just what I need for one or both of the two commuter bikes (one for each end of the train journey) and on-one are out of stock and not re-stocking....

Not in my case - I use 31.8 on all my bikes.

Maybe but doubt that it will be this side of Christmas

Will do, but as I've just remembered the brake hoses on my Swift (the most likely donor) are very short it may be a bigger project...

I've just cleaned myself up, having a brew, then de-crudding the bike!

I read that as 're-cuddling' the bike!

Having thought about it a bit, and with the aid of some BEER to lubricate the thought processes, I'm probably going to be putting a pair of the OG Carbon bars on Pugsley in the very near future. Compared to my other bikes, the fatty doesn't get ridden as much and it'll be a good(ish) way of determining whether or not they suit me before I pull the trigger on a set for the El Mariachi.

If anyone is interested in a set of Easton EA70 flat bars, now's the time to say so ...

Beer helps with anything. Beer and bars go together so well ;D

For me it's cider and bar tape.  ;D Unusually, it seems, I really enjoy wrapping bar tape, and with a nice pint or bottle of something refreshingly apply I'm a happy boy...

Last night it was transmission fettling with the aid of several Belgian Trappist ales, none of which had an ABV below 8%.

Goes with the singlespeed ethos ;)

A fixed-gear Pugsley might have become slightly more possible:

Hmm ....

(not that I have a problem with Surly's rims apart from them being bloody expensive)

Go for it! You've got far better choice over there than we have. And much cheaper prices. Think WalMart were doing one for $300!

Think the Mongoose is more BSA* than BSO.

If I still had a US delivery address and wanted a cheap fatbike I'd be looking at BikesDirect I think

*Bike Shaped Anchor - from memory it weighs about 40lb

That'll be the black stuff peeking through the holes in the rims. Just sayin' ...
